Abstract

Some geographers have attempted to critique deterministic explanations of certain geographical phenomena, especially those related to the human aspect, and to find solutions and explanations closer to logic, resulting in what is known as behavioral geography, which is considered one of the newest branches of geography.
Which focuses on studying the geographical and social structure of regions and human groups, how individuals adopt a specific spatial behavior in a particular environment, how individuals perceive and evaluate their environment, and the resulting multiple geographical patterns.
Behavioralism: “Studying the behavioral aspect enables us to know all types of human interaction, and the communication process through which this interaction takes place, in addition to concerns about economic, political, and cultural interaction. At the end of the sixties, specifically, geographical thought had behavioral concerns and a renaissance that had a great impact on changing the initial geographical view of the relationship between man and the environment.”
