Conflict of Interest Policy
Libyan Geographical Society Journal is committed to ensuring the highest standards of integrity, objectivity, and transparency in the scholarly publication process. All participants in the publication process—including authors, peer reviewers, and editors—must fully disclose any potential competing or conflicting interests that could be perceived to influence the evaluation, review, or publication of a manuscript.
1. Authors Authors must declare all personal, financial, academic, or professional relationships that could inappropriately influence their work.
Financial Disclosure: Authors must disclose all sources of funding, grants, or sponsorships related to the research.
Declaration Statement: Manuscripts must include a "Conflict of Interest Statement" prior to the reference section. If no conflicts exist, authors must state:
"The author(s) declare(s) that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this manuscript in the Libyan Geographical Society Journal."
2. Peer Reviewers Reviewers must decline an invitation to review a manuscript if they have a personal or professional connection with any of the authors, recent direct scientific collaborations, or any financial/academic competing interest that prevents an unbiased evaluation.
3. Editors and Editorial Board Members Editors and handling members of the editorial board must recuse themselves from managing or making final decisions on manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists. In such cases, an independent handling editor will manage the peer-review process.
