Abstract

Dry natural regions are often characterized by extreme conditions, which reflect the difficulty of living in them and limit human activities across various economic fields. On the other hand, these regions may have significant importance in sustainable development programs and the investment of their natural resources if viewed optimistically and modern technologies are used to harness them to serve humans in many aspects of life, including agricultural, pastoral, tourism, and other developmental projects. Such initiatives could transform the negative perception of these regions as nearly lifeless and unsuitable for development and economic investment into areas of great importance due to their abundant natural resources. These resources can be utilized if exploited with modern technologies that enhance their economic value, becoming a strong contributor to the national economy and enabling a shift from reliance on a single income source (oil) to replacing it with other available natural resources that can be invested in ways that bring economic benefits to the country.
