Dear Colleagues, Esteemed Researchers, and Followers of the Libyan Geographical Society Journal,

With profound pride, appreciation, and a steadfast belief in the mission and responsibility of science, we are delighted to announce the return of the Libyan Geographical Society Journal to active publication and its continued contribution to enriching the research landscape, following a hiatus imposed by compelling circumstances that hindered the continuity of publication. Although this cessation was involuntary, the spirit of research and investigation was never extinguished within the corridors of our prestigious society.

Our return today is not merely the resumption of a scientific periodical; rather, it is a renewal of the pledge the journal has made since its inception—to be a rigorous platform for scholars of geography and related sciences. We recognize that the hiatus left a void in documenting national spatial and environmental studies, which makes us even more determined today to compensate for lost time by presenting scientific output characterized by depth and modern methodology.

We have invested the suspension period in reviewing our operational mechanisms and developing scientific peer-review standards to ensure we keep pace with global developments in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial analysis, and environmental and human studies. The ultimate goal that the journal seeks in its upcoming phase is to actively contribute to providing geography-based scientific solutions to the challenges facing our society and local environment.

We extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to all researchers who placed their trust in us and awaited our return. We also highly value the efforts of the editorial board and reviewers who spared no effort to bring this issue to light in a manner that befits the name of the Libyan Geographical Society.

We invite you all—professors, researchers, and postgraduate students—to contribute your innovative research so that, together, we may restore the journal’s brilliance and its pioneering role as a fundamental reference for geography in Libya and the Arab region.
